Solving the Problem of a GPO that Fails to Apply a User Registry Setting

Question:

How can I troubleshoot a GPO that is not applying a registry key to the user hive?

I have created a GPO to add the registry key “PreferLegacyPrintDialog” with the value 1 to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Print\UnifiedPrintDialog. I used the REG Key import wizard under user configuration to create the GPO. I linked the GPO to a test OU that contains a Windows 11 Multi Session server. However, when I check the registry on the server, the key is not added. I have verified that the GPO is enabled and that the user account is in the correct OU.

I have attached a screenshot of the GPO settings for reference. What steps can I take to resolve this issue? What additional information do you need from me?

Thank you for your assistance.
